hi all yes i am short also well im 5'6 and i have heard that hight is abit of a down fall for alot of people but it all depends on what the job spec is if you are going for cat walk then yes they will go for the taller but for things like magazine shoots and things like that where they can get the angles and play with the images size isnt as important

The big problem is samples, for any modelling that involves designers samples the model isn't generally known prior to the event so they are essentially made for someone between a size 6 - 8 and between 5'9" and 5'11", even girls like Sophie Ward are getting too tall for the catwalk at 6'0.5".

from my experiences ive found only on catwalk has my height been a problem. Im 5'10 touching 5'11 and when i was younger i did catwalk but in later life ive been advised to push more towards photographic and promotional modelling. Im not complaining really... i find these two much more fun.

ive seen sum really stunning girls get turned down for catwalks simply cause they r to short. sad but the industry is harsh. If your "to short" i suggest photographic modelling.

especially for the guys, if ur abit out there and not shy, u will do great in promotional modelling cause Australia is really lacking in willing promo guys.
