Help me acheive a 'Geek Chic' look?

I like the look, and I've seen it in the magazines. I just have no idea where to start. I don't want it to be too nerdy, I want to look cute, but kinda nerdy. Kinds like Tina Fey.

Vests and shirts. Button shirts all the way up and wear a tie but be sure the shirt is form-hugging. Slim-cut pants or black skinny jeans or even loose "Winter fabric" shorts with tights and Mary-Jane style shoes.

And of course, the glasses ;)

i saw a great picture of an achievement of geek chic. Jael from america's next top model cycle 8. look for that and try to go for something similar to the shirt she was wearing. u know something cute but at the same time looks like something a kid would wear
