Hi there everyone,

So I have been having a few chats with different people around Australia about what is cool, and every city has different ideas. At the moment in Melbourne Dumplings are the 'it' dinner while Bingo nights have taken over Trivia for something to do mid-week with your friends whilst having a few drinks, and Barefoot bowling is still cool every summer or even every week in the sunnier states.

I personally love the idea of not just going to a standard night club, I am very fickle and get bored very easily. I really love creativity and a point of difference... individuality in venues and also knowing that the people running them are actually interested in keeping you coming back for more. BUT what I have realised is that alot of people think of these things as being 'tacky' and dont get it. What do you guys think? Obviously I am in the midst of brainstorming buisness ideas for myself of where to go now that MPH is over for the year, and I have heaps of ideas and am seriously thinking about re-locating to brisbane and tapping into what I feel is missing up there, and what - as a melbournian - I can offer ol' Brisvegas... but it is a matter of nutting out what is cool, what is going to reach the demographic and work, or what has been too 'done'.

Queenslanders, what do you want to see brought to your state? Everyone else, what do you love, what have you seen or been to that you loved or hated, and most imporatntly would do again?

All feedback on this topic wuld be fantastic, I would love to see this thread become massive, anything funny - for example traffic light nights - oooohhhh my god you cant get much tackier than that!!!

Peace - xox

if you think your cool, you're not.

dont do cool things.

"80's snow" theme parties are my favourite thing in the world.

Would love to hear more of your ideas Corrine - and everyone else's. I always find that there's not enough variety in what you can go out and do. You're so right - it's so easy to get bored.
