Andy, I think we should talk ;)

On the topic of "how much is too much", I also love the Visvim Logan mids but am not going to part with $300+ for them any time soon.

I am Partial to quite a few pairs of the Nike SBs, I have 4 different pairs from High Tops to Lows. I think shoes are one of those things that we can justify spending a shit load on if they are a little different to what we see on most peoples feet.
They tell a heap about someone, so my wife keeps tellin me:)

did anyone see the article in either this months vogue or russh about the designer sneaker? personally i think anything over $200 (and thats pushing it) for a girls pair of sneakers is very excessive as really how often do we wear them and how many people care? with guys... I think anything over $250... I just dont get it personally but some are worth it and look great and can be worn everyday and night out on the town... but really $400 for sneakers... as I said - I dont get it! :)

I think sneakers are fast becoming the new sunglasses. That must have accessory that is become ridiculously expensive given the actual manufacturing cost. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with expensive fashion - but with glasses I think we're going to see sneakers lose the middle ground: you're either going to be wearing the exorbitant pair or the sub-$100 pair.

The sneakers at the top end of the market are usually a recycled silhouette/design from a classic shoe, which is undoubtedly availible for less. I think if you nail style, shape and colour, you can pull off pretty much everything on a budget, except impressing the tiny percentage of people that would actually be impressed that you're wearing Visvim x Sophnet.
