I've been told all my life how beautiful my [freakishly] long fingers are! People have always tried to push me to play piano or guitar or do hand modeling. I'd like to give it a shot, but I've got no idea who to talk to about getting signed up with a hand modeling agency! Anybody got any tips?
Call one of the big agencies and ask them a) If they take on people just for parts or b) if they can suggest someone to you.
I dont know of agencies that just take on people for parts modelling because it is a fairly rare business. If you're friends are talking about you doing hand modelling in TV commercials then you will probably need to join a talent agency for actors and not a modelling agency.
That said, the first thing you should be doing is taking very very good care of your hands. Nails, cuticles and skin should all be in perfect condition at all times. I'm not just talking about a manicure either - because hand shots are so close cut you will need to be vigilant.
