Note that the friend has to be equally committed as well and not someone who's all talk and no show. That's the worst type of person to go to the gym with :) Right now, I prefer going alone and just constantly gotta keep working on the self discipline.

Everytime I hear my father's voice in my head, asking me why I am so fatfattyfat, I head for the gym.

That does the trick for me. *grin*

Well I've just joined too with my best friend,
we just flick through Vogue and get very jealous of all the models and their hot bodies, so that's out motivation! :)

hmmm im not one who likes gyms very much.. so i get into dancing and outdoorsy sports. it's good for me, because i have my days when i feel like a good work out with some friends so i head off to dancing, and when i feel like doing something by myself, i go for a surf instead.

If I want to stay motivated I have to steer clear of the gym. I need to do things that are fun or interesting and a bit more challenging than running on the spot. I find treadmills, cross trainers and all that business horribly boring.

You already know about my aerial stuff (which works a treat for toning and general strength) but I've also taken up a pole dancing class which is a pretty awesome cardio work out. PLus its fun, so it makes me want to go.

When I realised I was getting up before the sun just so I could get to the gym before work, I decided that it was a bit too over the top for the small results I was seeing.

Tammi - It's great fun! Plus those big stripper shoes make your legs look great. Whats not to like? :)
