This may sound like a silly problem, but im an emerging pro photographer.
I'm trying to find upcoming fashion shows in nashville for my portfolio.
I cant find a decent resource that provides dates and times.
any help would be greatly greatly apperciated.

I've always had the same problem, there is one good service (whose name escapes me right now) but it was quite expensive to subscribe to.

look for fashion schools and colleges that offer fashion design courses and majors.

they usually have graduation shows and if you make a few friends with students and staff in those departments you'll be closer to the "grapevine" and hear about a few events. also be able to shoot for them as they produce new designs and collections.
