How to do headbands the lavish way

Some months back we took a look at Dominique Duval's 'Rivers of Gold' headband, a somewhat elaborate and glamorous version headband, over at style spy. Well the headband trend has continued, throwing away simplicity for big patterns and glitzy designs. Natalie Portman has been seen wearing an authentic diamond headband, as well as Eva Longoria who prefers wearing the Swarovski Crystal Red headband.

Scarves are also being used as headbands, a trend popularised by Nicole Richie, as well as a strip of hair platted and pinned across retro style. The metallics trend has shifted its way into head wear as well as seen on Rachel Bilson.

i use a scarf over my curls as a headband- just tie it up, tie the scarf tight around your head (like nicole in the pic above) and then let the hair out and fall all pretty :) though my hair isnt super curly- its more loose ringlets and waves, maybe put a relaxer in to tone down the curl a little and then try?
