How to do headbands the lavish way

Last Updated: 18.12.2009 at 12.57
Hello,

Got some more free time to comment.

A long time ago, during the early 60s when my sister and I really communicated [ she told me about girls and I told her about boys sort of stuff to get the edge in our mutual social love interests ] I asked why the difference in headbands and etc. Her answer went something like this - the condense version - Miami is very windy and a bandana was at times more handy during informal times, like taking out the laundry to be hung on the clothes line --- which means I am really telling my age " clothes lines " --- or a more decorated headband, which was mostly kept in a purse on more formal times when taking in a night spot at Miami Beach and when it was taken out was when it was really windy.

I asked because when I was talking with my intended Alice earlier she hinted her hair needed help when we were going together at the South Beach front at the Havana Hotel --- which was an home for the aged at the time --- now its swings as a Latina Danza club since the 1980s.

Now hear this and how all this relates to the question of this forum. Candee said further. "Its never the style of the headband but the outfit its was worn to match. So retros dresses and if the hair needs a little support then its a retro headband. Candee further told me, as she was modeling part time as well. When wearing an elegant dress the designer would need an additional accent in which the hair was to part of the over effect of the initial design and headband was likewise created."

What happen after our talk.

Alice was one of the very first teens to actually wear a bikini and I really mean a real sexy bikini -- which made everyone look -- and she had two. So I went and bought a silver - gold combination headband and dark black bandana for her deep red bikini and her very popular Zebra pattern as per the advise of my Sister Candee. Which was added proof that guys should really listen as that night was more than pleasant between me and Alice and beyond.

this whole trend is beginning to make me sad... i have been wearing headbands for years and everyone has thought it odd but i have persisted anyway. i have cutsey kitch ones and lavish also, i mix it up and play and push the boundaries with them as i am obcessed with bows so dont really care what anyone else thinks. BUT now however, everyone is doing the same and it is driving me nuts!

I love headbands when I was a little girl and during my teenage years. But now, I also use a scarf to design my hair. It's more fashionable for me. =)

Honestly, I think the headbands are aged, however, the scarfs if the place of headbands are acceptable andcan be used to hide roots that need to be relaxed. I consider them to be very fashionable...

Old-fashioned headbands are definitely aged! But recently, stylists have done a great job recreating the designs and even the ways of wearing it. It has actually resurrected big time!
