Hi there, just starting up a online model agency and am finding the damn name searching unbearable, all the wkd names iv thought of have already gone and i desperately want something thats, edgy and cool. if anybody can think of anything to at least inspire me then HELP......!

I think names that reflect the attitude/cause of a company are always great. One of the most important things is that they tell a story, and if it reflects an element of your company it can really do that.

For instance, Virgin tells a story (they were virgins at business when they started a company), but you could never tell an interesting story about BT.

yeah i totally agree with that. Im seem to be going over the same things. Iv tried everything including name generators, anagrams and translation but in reality want something more personal. Its unbelievable trying to get a name now though, they have all gone! back to the storyboard.....

Well think about it's attitude, what would make it cool, what would be different about it, and work around those words.

If you're still stuck, look at the same words in French, German, or Old or Middle English

There's always Latin and Italian equivalents to make it sound more chique

Harry Beckwith's Book, 'What Clients Love', contains some great advice on choosing a business name. It may be of interest.

Helsinki Bear has an interesting concept (for a clothing line) - taken from bears that roamed around taking clothes from washing lines... a very unusual concept and the story behind the name made me remember the brand...

I think there are still some unique names and concepts left, but you just have to search really hard.

bellus means pretty/beautiful
in latin though its probably not the nicest name, i just remembered it from my studies :P i think you could just go to translator sites and type in words like beuty, excellence, etc etc in diffrent languages and c wats best
