Im a raver so to make the party a little extra fun, the theam i sort of borrowed from a party in Amsterdam called Sensation White ( theres also a back one too), so anyway, i had mine in a huge hall with heaps of black (puple) lights and fairy lights and lots of diffrent colours. The theam was "Dress in White and Unite 4 One Night"
B/c everyone was wearing white, everyone glowed like crazy and the lights and lasers went off!
Alot of my freinds are DJ's so i got a set of decks, sent out a set times in an emaiil and said, first in best dressed, so they put down when they wanted to play and yeah, it worked out really well, i have 12 DJ's in all, with a spechal guest who im a big fan off, all come and play. I said in the email to them all, there is no cash but all the beer/wine and water they could drink. On the night though, i had organised little thank you gift bags ( like lollie bag but much nicer, with a glitter pen, a mirror ball key ring, lighter and a few other pits and peices.

They had the bar decked out like a drinking trough.
Negatives= Hay and short skirts do not make friends.
I did the whole traditional local fav bar, it's nice to christen your old haunts in a new way.
Love the 'fugly' idea!
Another one= was dress like a 5 year old party. that was wicked, I've never worn so much pink. I looked like a kids barbie dropped in a paint tin!
Key idea= depends highly on the attendees= if you've invited a good crowd it will work.
And
If you're enjoying yourself, others will.
That a good party maketh =D
