Alcohol will help. Have a night cap. Whenever I have problems sleeping I mix myself a Southern Comfort & Dr. Pepper and it turns my lights out.
Sweetdreams! :)

Hrrm, I usually can't sleep for 2 reasons -
1. not enough physical activity during the day
2. too much to think about
I've been recommended cookies and milk? I haven't tried it though; we rarely have cookies that will go well with milk! Either that or just listen to really slow slow songs, or think about the best places to sleep.
Whatever happens, hope you get to sleep dude! =)

I think I have a solution for you....
You should visit the [url]www.sleepfoundation.org and go to the link "can' t sleep?".
I believe you will find your answers there.
And don't listen to "insomnia" by Faithless... (that was a joke..)
Hope you get over it soon

The only bad thing about drinking alcohol to get you to sleep is the hangover you might have if you have to get up really early. I don't sleep much, but usually a nice hot bubble bath helps me sleep better. Right now I am on a pain killer and that definitely helps. I don't recommend taking pain killers unless you have to though;)

Dont mix ur alcohole with coke or anything ith caffine in it, its just stoopid.
Try to get at least 20mins of physical exercise during the day, do not exercise 2 hours b4 bed.
If u have heaps of stuff going on in ur mind, try writing it down on a note pad nect to ur bed, that way, if , when ur trying to get some sleep, you can jott down anything else that comes to mind.

I hv found that having a ceiling fan on helps. It creates a soft background noise that somehow my subconcious focuses on (i find sometimes music can trigger memories that u may not hv thought about otherwise)..
Also try focusing on ur breathing.

I have a massive insomnia problem as well. I've had people suggest warm milk and honey to me. It doesn't work on me but it certainly seems to work wonders with others who I know who have tried it.
I've tried everything from using garbage bags to black out my windows (for which you have to be careful or your neighbours might report you as a marijuana grow op), to soothing music, to new pillows etc.
I think you just got to figure out whether you can't sleep because of a physical thing, or mental thing (eg too much on the mind). Once you figure that out you'll probably find the proper remedy.
