Hi I'm Sydney based photographer specialises in still life, people and fashion. Worked in film and dance production as both photographers and designers as well as production managers. I have been shooting still life for almost 6 years and man do i need a big shift to concentrate on people and fashion.

I think 2008 is my year of this shift. I am going to attend few networking events and am planning to shoot fashion folio in May.

Hi all,
I'm a relative newcomer to photography, coming up to 3 years since I took my first shot. I've had a few lucky breaks along the way and I'm now a pro travel and landscape photographer and writer. I gave up my day job as getting paid to travel and take photos was just too good to pass up. I'm always trying to extend my range so I'm here to develop my portrait and fashion photography, build up a portfolio in these fields. I've just come back to my home in Melbourne after spending most of the last 2 years working the wilderness of Tasmania and the Canadian Rockies and the trendy backstreets of Italy.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I've been operating my own studio for almost 3 years now and I got into photography around a year and a half before that. I do a lot of advertising and PR work for many brands here in Manila, and I'd like to focus on getting more regional and international work. I'm planning on doing some work in Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the near future. Would like to do business tie-ups with other photographers and studios in those countries :)

I am aspiring to be a Fashion Photographer.
As of yet i've not had the chance to try my hand at it with a model, however, I got a Canon EOS 450D a few weeks ago.
Here are a few photos ive taken more in the vein of portraiture and profile images (none have post production yet):

Anyone have any advice on how to become a successful Fashion Photographer, or any general tips on how to get started.
Im doing an art foundation course this year (starting in Sept) and will get a chance to try it in a proper studio with models for the first time. Then hopefully i'll be going to London to do a course in Fashion Photography.

hey guys, I'm Diana from Colombia, not sure if I already introduced myself but anyway, I'm finishing my career in comunications and advertising, love advertising, love fashion and love photography. I want to be a photographer focused in fashion, music and also do some experimental and artistic work. I'd like to learn from the best, so please if anyone can recommend me the best schools in photography (could be anywhere in the world) where i can learn a lot, meet lots of people and then have job opportunities, I'd really appreciate it. I want to start working as an assistant to a photographer cuz I know I'll learn a lot that way so I think I'll start doing this in Colombia for free with anyone who takes me and I can learn from, but obviously I need to take some courses. I was looking at one called Up To Date academy in Milan which has a 1 month fashion photography program. Any comments?
please help!
thanx
Di.
