Fake alcoholic drinks for children in Japan - it has been so successful that it is offered in cans, bottles and even 6 packs. They are expanding the beer line to wines and champagne. Jeez, they start them young over there! Bit wrong!

Wrong, yes, but also somewhat cute. I have a funny feeling that only the Japanese could be so -- umm -- inventive as to come up with this product line. One wonders what it must taste like...

I think kids are overprotected these days anyway

*Insert reminiscing music here* I remember back in the day we had big boss fake cigarettes.

In fact with the Japan having the highest rate of youth suicide I say do whatever you need to cheer up the kids.

fake smokes were the best... I remember many times being dragged by the ears over to my mother by some outraged old biddy... only to ream my mother for letting a 6yo smoke.... ahhh good times

On the one hand, the fake beer may actually make them get over the excitment by the time they're 15 and ready to start binge drinking on the real stuff? Or maybe not, I don't know...

Weren't they called 'fags' back in the day? I didn't think they bothered too even pretend they weren't cigarettes for the youngins.
