I really love Japanese fashion. In my opinion, Tokyo is one of the best dressed cities in the world in terms of the residents. Many foreign to Japan seem to focus on cosplay/costumes but aside from the more playful, I see Japanese fashion as being enriched with uniqueness whilst being clean, classic and sophisticated at the same time.
Designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake and Kenzo Takada are superb fabric architects. They rely on choosing and/or designing unique fibres within fabrics; even without graphical prints they rely on fabric architecture and cuts to build unique forms within their designs.
I love the Japanese fashion culture...Its really unique...I hear some of the local stores will try to launch internationally....That would be awesome!!
