Kanye West moving to London to follow career in fashion

He's rapped, he's crooned... and now Kanye West is ready to stitch.

We can reveal the music legend is moving to London next year to pursue his love of fashion.

And not only will the 31-year-old unveil his very own clothes range, he's prepared to muck in and learn his craft.

He is applying to train at Louis Vuitton's luxury goods HQ in Bond Street as well as approaching other leading fashion houses here and in Europe.

And it seems despite his megastar status Kanye is not too proud and has been joking with friends he will even make the tea if it helps get his foot in the door.

Ok, a top fashion house so not QUITE at the very bottom but it's still a U-turn for West, who has chosen our capital for the glitzy first unveiling of his new fashion range Pastelle.

The Gold Digger star will head to our shores as early as spring to set up camp.

Kanye said: "I'm going to go and take an internship and just do something that's like completely normal, and just rap at the weekends or something."

The multi-Grammy winning star controversially ditched his hardcore raps for love songs on his fab new album 808s & Heartbreak.

And now, never one to stand still, Kanye is ready to shock his fans one more time. Our spy goes on: "He's applying at Louis Vuitton, Raf Simons and others."

He's certainly wasting no time - and has already chosen a muse for his range... Brit newcomer Mr Hudson.

Kanye approached the trendy lad from Kentish Town to be the face of Pastelle and they are currently ironing out a mega-bucks deal. The pair met when Mr Hudson was a support act for Kanye's recent Glow In The Dark tour.

An insider said: "Everyone is surprised at just how seriously Kanye is taking his fashion dream.

"He is always in the front rows during the Paris and Milan fashion weeks, chatting away to the likes of Lily Allen.

"He absolutely loves London and wants to absorb the fashion over here."
