If there's any one piece so far at MMSFW that I want to run out and buy, it's the cropped leather jacket sent down the runway by Kate Hurst. Ok, so I have a few already... but this one was right on trend. And having kept an eye on the leather jacket trend, it's one I love.
But enough of that - there were other things to adore in Kate Hurst's collection as well. Specifically, another bunch of cute, highly wearable mini-dresses. Ruffles have definitely emerged as a trend through Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, as have high-waists, florals and biker-chic leathers and zips. Hurst's collection incorporated all these things. Though again nothing new or revolutionary, the dresses were pretty and flattering.
