From the launch at Government House (nice of the Queen to lend it out);
At the LOréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Opening Party, fashion took a new spin around the dance floor! Six couples twirled onto the dance floor in Government Houses historic ballroom accompanied by a DJ and live 1950's inspired swing and rockabilly band. The dancers outfits were specially commissioned by Harpers BAZAAR, each completely unique. Inspired by the bygone eras of the 1940's and 1950's with a modern interpretation, bringing together glamour, attention to detail, superbly hand crafted pieces and a kaleidoscope of exquisite colour, pattern and trim detail.
From Fred&Ginger to rockabilly rebel, the couples each had a distinct personality and the action was compered by the quintessential Master of Ceremonies; Jules Lund dressed in a sleek Hugo Boss suit and taking the style of a fifties radio announcer or early television host.
Of course, the gorgeous Miranda Otto, the Face of the Festival was sitting front row during the Fashion moment, at her first official duty as the Face. We look forward to spotting her throughout the week!
Also in attendance was the stunning Doutzen Kroes, the Dutch Supermodel and International Face of LOréal
