I work in a department store, for a clothing company. Tonight at work I was trying on some clothes with the guys at work, and I tried on a two-polo combo, white underneath a deep sea-blue. One of the guys at work said that he thought layering clothes was good for runway, and for store displays. I posit that layering correctly makes an outfit work. I was wondering what everyone else thinks on the subject
Is layering something that should be seen only on the runway or mannequins, or is it perfect for every-day wear?
I don't see why it can't work for everyday wear... Womens clothes are layered all the time, and it makes an outfit more interesting.
I'd like to see a pic of the two-polo layered thing! Do you have one?
It all depends on the environment and style involved. During winter here in Ithaca I have noticed the young wonmen here, and there are a lot of them from both Cornell University and Ithaca, College would do the following.
During the Summers it is to be seen and known. However, the Winters is like a protest - when the cold winds hits both East Hill and South Hill, and the syles become more layered as a reaction-but keeping in style to likewise be hot and sexy between Mid November to late April the following year - as they try to keep the interests up.
daniel short sleeved polos ontop of other short sleeved polo's in another color!
His fave seems to be teal and purple which actually looks pretty cool and bright pink with white :)
