Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week kicked off last night, a day early and with not one but four different parties!

The créme de la créme of Australia's fashion world kicked things off at Alto, the visually stunning 25th floor of Melbourne's Langham hotel. Drinks, cakes, oysters, and models galore all helped set the theme for what will be a hell of a week. Of course, things didn't stop there.

The official launch party after party (because you need a title for an excuse to party, right?) was enjoyed by many of those involved in the week at Curve, while on the other side of the Yarra River the crowd was enjoying the launch of Miishu Boutique's Spring-Summer 2007/2008 range at Baroq House. From there it was off to Alto at GPO, where the Redken gift bags were snapped up with fervour. And if that wasn't enough, the after-after-after party saw people head back to Baroq House.

Four parties in one night, we clearly don't know how to pace ourselves.

If you're looking to enjoy the best of MMSFW with us, don't forget to check out the fashion week parties Fashionising has organised.

While I'm hear might as well mention that I met Jacqui Alexander, the face of the work. She's really lovely, with her personality it's no wonders she's done so well so young!

If you weren't at Baroq House to see Dorothy and Evelyn's Spring-Summer 2007/2008 collection during Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week last night, here's a glimpse of what you missed.

More photos from the show are in the Fashion Diary, along with society photos from before and after.

I liked the contents of the bags - makes a change from the cosmetics and more cosmetics you usually receive at the official parades. And we can have a lot more fun with these...

Wish I could have taken some of the vintage items on show home with me too though.
