I posted this in another thread but I thought it was worth repeating because I just couldn't believe it!

Did anyone see the ACA segment on MaraJoara?!?

Apparently they were told that their models 'wouldn't do' because they were too fat or something... dude, that's not cool! Apparently there were threats that the show was actually going to be cancelled!!!!!

I personally thought all the models looked great :p

Why have vogue removed the coverage I wonder. How bloody typical.
They list every other show but Marajoara...and it was there this morning. Still read the readers comments here

I noticed that as well Di - what are Vogue playing at? Are they heavily funded by IMG? What's their goal, and who are they supporting? Putting up the images and then secretly taking them down will only work to lose them their audience. Big thumbs down!

Did anyone see the ACA segment on MaraJoara?!?

I taped it as I was out at a show tonight. A friend SMSed me to say that I'm in either the ACA or Today Tonight one, not sure which they watched.

Well, whether it was all taken out or not, it's still all over the place! It's waaay to late now to turn back, as the media coverage was huge when it all happened! it's only going to make them look stupid for taking it out!
Anywho, i think it's the most fantastic thing to have happened, not only for the models, but the company Marajoara itself! Ofcourse women are going to go out and buy something that they can CLEARLY see fits them, rather then a model that may possibly be underweight! I completely understand that the models work hard to be where they are, but these "new age" models deserve to start somewhere too! And then there was the 15 y/o that had her stockings fall down mid-walk! I MEAN, THAT'S A PRETTY BAD WARDROBE malfunction for such a huge show!

Birdies tell me you'll hear it discussed on Mix 101.1 today, Kyle and Jaqui O (spelling?) Australia wide, and might even see it on the ABC.

God it's so conservative maintaining the status quo. It's not like they used models who were obese, the girls were FIT not fat. How disturbing that it's such a contentious issue....

Congratulations Daniel, Tania and Alan - you've been very important in helping Leesa and MJ this week. I'm really impressed. Great shots Tania.
