I need a good yet affordable hairdresser... preferably a small place, i hate places like T+G and such, sure they know some good cuts... but they only know 3 really good cuts each.

and preferably on the southside. ie prahran so i can go during work :P

I used to try out a few different hairdressers. Now I won't go anywhere else except Real Hairdressing in Elwood. I drive across town to go to these guys. Its small, they are fabulous, in fact it's impossible to get a bad haircut there. I now just walk in and let them do whatever they want. They are wizards with scissors, that's all there is to it. Call them now. 9531 7112.

LOL Call them now!

I like Parlour but it might not suit everyone. It's on Chapel St(near the corner with Carlisle) right next to the Police station.

hmmm real hairdressing in elwood sounds good cause i live there hehe

Chadstone is to much effort to get to for me.

I was told to look into fur on greville st... but i reacon they'll be to exxy + won't be told... i've been to egotistical hairdressers before and they just won't listen.

i guess its why i've cut my own for so long.

My hairdresser used to work at fur, she tells me they're quite good.

speaking of egotistical hairdressers..
the other day i went for a haircut, and wasn't happpy with what the hairdresser did.. (mainly because i said do something interesting, i just want to be able to wear it straight or curly and i want a certain fringe- and my hair was pretty long.. she did the fringe, cut one inch off the bottom and slightly cut the longer layers and apparently this is my new look> uhm it looks exactly the SAME!)
so i was a bit irritated and told her i wanted something different to what it was before, and she proceeds to get attitudeish with me, doesnt listen, and i walk out looking like i got a fringe cut and one inch trim!

an ego is not something anybody wants in a hairdresser

i went to the men's hairdresser of the year once in brissie... mum paid.. anyway i said do anything you want i just don't want the fringe with spiked up hair at the back... everyone was doing it... and conformity is not my thing... so anyway he proceeded to cut my hair and styled it and what did i have... the precise cut i particularly asked not to have! i was not happy and it was short so really unfixable... so i refused to pay. Thats one thing i learnt growing up in the industry, if your not happy - don't pay till they fix it!
