Men Find Short Legs More Attractive?

A study published in the professional journal Body Image found that people prefer normal leg-to-body ratios to the mile-long legs that walk down the runway every season (Sorry, Gisele.) Researchers showed over 1,000 men and women pictures of women to demonstrate eight different LTB ratios, and the mid-range combination were deemed the most attractive. Combined with the recent news that men consider women at a "normal" weight the prettiest, do you think women might start to love their bodies more?

What weight is "normal"? :/ That a pretty broad term.

I was wondering what "normal weight" was too. It may be based on the BMI but weight and appearance are totally different whereas the research was based on the reaction of images.

But I won't take sides. Long, short or "normal" legs; I think they all can be sexy. :)

BMI was created to analyse populations, not individuals as there are too many variables; weight is not just composed of fat so 2 people with the same weight can be completely different if one exercises and one does not.

Also, if 'normal' is the average weight of the population... we're in the middle of an obesity epidemic. If that's the case, men apparently like overweight women which does not correlate with 'survival of the fittest'; though there are some variables in attraction, on a broad scale, people are attracted to the most physically appealing, healthy mate.

I agree, anyone can have a killer set of pins at any length but I would like to see both the results of this particular 'study' as well as how exactly the study was conducted as well as if the study has repeatable results.

I also wonder if they used images of real people or computer generated images.

True: in a psychology class, we were looking over a research questionnaire about body image where 2 questions involved a series of line drawings of body sizes from one extreme to the next "what size are you?" "what size do you want to be?".

I wonder if the results would have varied if they said "post a picture of your body from the neck down" (for privacy issues) and then a series of different bodies shot in the same way with the question "what body do you want to have?"

Normal meaning?
Well Im not surprised about the height thing. You know most men don't like to date women who are taller than them.

I really hope that is not true :P

Pers, I prefer certain body styles "photographically". Which tends to be limited to whatever Art or the creative aspects of apparel are under the lens. Socially, it really makes no difference. Hayden Panettiere for instance is a lovely, sweet girl(makeup aside). A killer smile or personality tends to add height to women in my book.
