I stopped in to the 'official' opening of the Metalicus Chadstone store tonight... I hadn't previously really looked at their Summer 06 collection, and it suprised me a little.

I'm very much used to (and quite like) Metalicus' signature polyamide pieces. I have some basics from their body-tight range which are simple but great for layering.
The 06 seems to move much further into cotton and wool, with not much polyamide. Perhaps you have to try them on, but the wool range didn't look much on the rack.

Has anyone bought or tried on any of the 06 collection?

I think lately labels are moving more into natural fabrics as I think consumers are demonstrating that they're willing to pay more for natural fabrics. I think for years I refused to buy anything not cotton, silk, cashmere or a blend of any of the above.

Having said that, I've only just realised how much easier it is to wash synthetic materials but it's still been hard for me to go back.

On topic, I've only seen Metalicus pieces in the huge Charlie Brown store on Oxford St and they didn't look too good but that was probably because they were all bunched up and stuffed in tiny shelves on the back. I've seen pieces on the site from previous collections and they look like great basics though. And those grey shorts are v cute! =D
