I just wanted to inform all girls from Victoria aged 18-24 that Miss World Australia is looking for a Victorian finalist for the 2007 contest. They are hoping to hold the Victorian Final in early November. I have been part of Miss World Australia for over a year and have had a very exciting and positive experience, so Iâm encouraging anyone who is interested to check out the website www.missworldaustralia.com.au. Information nights about the competiton and registration will run through January, February and March.
To Register as an entrant for Miss World Australia you must fill in the Official Registration form below & be eligible under the rules of the contest as set out.
The Registration fee is $100.00.
The registered entrant must be available to compete in her designated heat.
Judging Heats will be held between March and June.
State Finals will be held between June and August.
Miss World Australia will be crowned at the end of September.

Yes the dates have changed; I think the website might need an update. Finals across the country will be in November and we are accepting entrants in Victoria until the end of September. In regards to the Victorian Final, it is in the final development stage, so more information will be available soon. We are hoping to tie it in with the Racing Carnival. All I can say at this point is that it is a wonderful opportunity for any young woman who would like to get involved with fundraising (as we are aligned with Variety, The Childrenâs Charity and also Challenge) and who also have great confidence in the way that they present themselves. Confidence is important because the Miss World Australia Final in Sydney will consist of categories such as public speaking, fitness, and for the show there will be swimwear and formal wear. Sabrina Houssami, Miss World Australia 2006 is in Poland for the next month competing for the title of Miss World. That's weird, I got an email from the NSW organisers telling me to attend the NSW heats and telling me the registration was $80 ... how bizarre

There will be three girls selected from Victoria (Miss Victoria and two runner-ups), to go to Sydney next February to compete in the Miss World Australia Final. It does not look like there will be a âshowâ as such in Victoria this year, just an interview process and presentation night in early November. From personal experience I can tell everyone that is interested that I have had a wonderful time being involved and have met great people along the way.
The registration fee is only put in so that organisers can get the commitment of the girls (there is no profit being made from this fee).
Victorian girls who are interested in entering are welcome to email me with any questions.

I'm in the NSW finals. The best part of being involved you get to help out a charity.

The charity I am raising money for is the Sir David Martin Foundation which assists troubled youth by providing them with training and helping them to get off drugs. Its a really good cause. If anyone has fundraising suggestions please feel free to share them.
