Here's the link that I've been looking for, for a very long time:
Some solid facts and figures ABOUT HEIGHT from the top echelon of the modelling world:

If you want to read some more invaluable info on the industry here's the actual site link:

Although it's discouraging, there are a few ways you may be able to get catwalk:
e.g. Be a hair model for a large inner city Hair Salon graduation show (height doesn't matter, at least not here in Sydney)
Offer to do catwalk for free for a local fashion design school's end of year show.
Perhaps certain bridal expos need petite models to display the smaller designs on the catwalk.
Something I recently aquired is catwalk for a vintage show in Sydney. The women of previous eras were tiny so they need tiny models.
THERE IS HOPE LOL
heey guys im rebecca, pretty short but thats how god created me, i agree with Caity just because were small doesn not mean we cannot have an opportunity to model like those other amazing tall women! :)

Hey girls! Absolutely love this topic. I can't believe it was started 3 years ago and is still going. Shows that in 3 years, we're still not seeing petite models in our favorite fashion magazines...
Have a look at my blog, I'm trying to understand how this can change and I'm also giving it a go myself. I'd love to hear your stories about your careers within the industry. I'm looking to write many articles on that.
Get back to me :)
My name is Lee, and I stand at a proud 5'2". It's not short. It's fun size! Despite the lack of agency standard height, I still manage to work with some amazing individuals. Still kicking it in the industry, and I couldn't be happier!
