They say that fashion comes in cycles - well one surprising trend making a comeback is the return of vintage rock and heavy metal tees from the 80s.
Lindsay Lohan has been spotted wearing Iron Maiden as well as Motley Crue with skinnys. Mary Kate has been seen wearing a Franky Says Relax t'shirt - you may remember "Relax" released by Franky Goes to Hollywood and, for those that are a bit younger and weren't around then, you may remember the tune featured in Zoolander.
Mischa Barton is another fashionista being snapped with her high waisted jeans and Fleetwood Mac T'shirt.
I really like band tees, especially faded vintage-y looking ones but I'd say you need to keep the rest of your outfit slim-fitting and chic to avoid looking too grungy. For example- as far as the photos go- Lindsay as opposed to Mischa....
I like band tees, but I think they must be well designed and the sound of the band must also be great! :)
I'm not sure if Lindsay and Mischa really listen that music? I guess they just wear it because it's cool or something like that...
Oh good, Mischas pants in the first picture are horrible!!! :D
She's a very strange taste, sometimes great, sometimes just weird.
I never really noticed these shirts were out of fassion but then I listen to the bands depicted. It has to be said that the artwork in the Iron Maiden pictures is so well done. I agree though if you aint a bogun you need to be carefull what you wear with them to keep from looking like you are a bogun.
i loovee rock n roll/metal tshirts!!! but i dont wear them as a fashion statment, im wearing them because i love the band. for some reason i dont see lindsay lohan as an iron maiden or motley crue fan,but i could be wrong.
holy shit @ mischa her legs look like stumps! what on earth would posess her to go out like that?
your right david i dont think band T's ever went out of fashion, the fans will always want to show off their favorite bands
