Chanel's Black Satin is certainly the nail polish de jour. But one blog, probably wrongly, thinks it's now on the way out.

It's replacement? Electric pink.



Of course, it's all well and good that's electric pink features on the catwalk. But when it comes to reliving another part of the 80s, are women really going to drop Black Satin that quickly? We hope not.

I just had to add this to style spy... so I could vote no.

pink is cool, but black satin is just classy.. its irreplaceable.. shall live on forever

i have pink nail polish that colour- i bought it for a costume party!
it truly looks horrible and tacky.

I think Chanel Black Satin and the newer shade, noir ceramic are here for a good long while more.

I agree, the noir ceramic is just lovely. I'm a fan of OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark (or the new one... at Midnight). I'm sure I'll cut back a little during S/S 07, but I definitely anticipate a few new bottles for fall.

I like that shade of pink as a nail polish but I couldn't pull it off so I'm not going to bother.

Then again, I hardly ever wear nail polish because I have nail polish on for too long because I have to remove it once it gets noticably yukky to the eye.

pink can look cheap some times i pefer black but if that chips it doesnt look good either ill stick natural.

I am still a massive fan of deep reds, my fav of the moment is revlons blackberry. I feel like black is just too heavy on me. It looks so sexy on some people but I just dont feel comfortable wearing it... i think it must be the preppy in me! haha

love pink... but only on occassion and it has to be a nice pink, that one is just ott.
