I have scored a free ticket! Where is the best place to go in NZ???? Anyone been?

Yeah I've been a few times. When is the ticket for? Winter is great for the snowboarding, but that's obviously all done with fairly soon. What interests you?

Used to live there,
Go south island for a holiday- wanaka in winter, nelson for hippy beaches, wellington for culture and fashion. Auckland for sailing.
Stay away from gore ;) they eat babies down there =P.
Most of all enjoy the laisse faire attitude.

Eating babies! hehe are you serious?!?!?!
Im going in October so im not sure what it will be like then...
Other than that what interests me? Maybe some shopping or nightlife...

They may snack on them from time to time =P.
Go to wellington for the shopping, it's the fashion capital and it's got a young vibe with lots of art students etc, then when you're all dolled up jacky, Go to Auckland- but only for a couple of days to play pretty in the city.
praying for some sunshine for ya.

I am heading to NZ tomorrow......to Wellington, the weather has been pretty bad for a while there, so be prepared for it - they call it the windy city and it is! Hehe......The south is beautiful, hire a car and drive down the coast to Christchurch. Lake Taupo on the north island is nice too. Have fun there :)

Not that anyone cares, but my trip to NZ was good, thanks for asking. I thought that parts of it were spectacular with landscape, but other parts were very similar to Australia and thus not that worth checking out. The further South, the better, green hills and landscape was amazing but cities were similar to ours. Thanks for listening.
