PETA's Worst Dressed List 2008

I am all for animal rights and I'm against cruelty to animals but PETA definitely need a newer, better approach.

This almost violent approach makes reader's more likely to not take them seriously as well as disassociating people from the issue; if a fan of one of these celebrities read this, they would automatically get on the defensive and thereby disagree with what PETA is trying to do.

In fairness, PETA are trying their best but what they're doing just isn't effective.

A better approach would maybe be to appeal to people's sense of ethics and promote just-as-good alternatives.

I think also what PETA should remember on a whole is that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, lifestyles and moral ground; while they can educate and give as much information at possible, they can't force people to change and shoving information down another's throat is just going to make them more likely to do the opposite, just to spite them.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

Have you heard the latest? PETA want fish to be renamed 'sea kittens'.

PETA - People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals - believes calling fish sea kittens will make sea food less appealing.

That's not a tactic that would work for me. Not a cat fan.

Oh man I already hate sea food, but now they're going to say, "You know cat's are brain food".

they sound like they are stuck up, PETA.

im totally against cruelty to animals, but unfortunately, i cant save the world.
I use makeup that is tested on animals, and shampoo, and even toothpaste.
proctor and gamble always tests. Its sad, but its just how it goes. I have a mink coat in my closet that was given to me, and im not about to throw it away.
I cant save them all, but i can always show animals that i see that i love them, and i dont support cruelty in any way.

PETA, your getting your point across.
But for better or worse, no one is better than anyone else.
Its just being biast.

Get over yourself.
