I think there's a gross generalisation that all people who go to private schools are snobby and bitchy. I think it's more the fact girls are often snobby and bitchy in their own right but that snobbiness is more noticed in private schools because it's expected there.

I've been to a private school since prep school and even though I have come into contact with a lot of bitchiness and snobbery, I came into contact with that outside school with people from public school.

I know from personal experience that private schools really foster any potential a student has (although it's occasionally to the nth degree!). My school has fantastic facilities that my public school counter-parts don't and I'm so thankful my parents pinched pennies to buy me a good education.
