Paris Hilton being sued for stealing 'style'

Austin Powers called it Mojo. But someone is suing Paris Hilton for stealing her style. And I don't mean style designs, but personal style. Only in America?

Paris Hilton is reportedly being sued by a woman who claims Paris stole her look. I'm not sure if people have a patent on a personal style, but I guess this woman is going to try to cash in. Nicolle O'Neill, from California has claimed that Paris has caused her "emotional distress" and suffers psychologically because Paris took her style.

There are two pages of documents which include a claim that Paris ripped off the idea to expose her underwear under her trousers and the idea to shop in vintage stores for retro dresses.

Uh, okay, whatever. I guess we could all sue Paris or other celebrities too if we analyze what they wear and see the similarities. I wouldn't put it pass Paris to steal someone's style, but I'm just not so sure about whether or not you can actually sue someone for that. Don't we all look at fashion magazines for ideas? I don't think Paris' "style" is so unique anyway. Nice try to make a quick buck, but it sounds like a waste of everyone's time.

Well i think this is sick. The poor girl has just been thru a "tramatic" experience. she cleans up her act and has been dressing fabulously for the last 18 months and she gets "sued". in that case every badly dressed overweight mother of two should be suing britney(i do love her). And every stick thin anorexic victim should suue the Olson twins. Every espanic with a huge ass should be sueing Jennifer lopez and lastly every girl that has taken a trip to silicone valley and ended up with hard lumps should sue Victoria Beckham. Come on.Leave Paris alone so she can get on with whatever it is that she does so fabulously!

Only in America. Should Paris countersue the woman for ripping off Paris' style of poor judgement?

I call it stylebyting and its LEGAL! the silly girl should soul search and be flattered. Its no fun when someone close to you copies your outfits down to the shoes I agree, but surely this girl is not her party friend and they dont socialise together.... 'get over herself' I say.

I heard more on this this morning. Apparently the law suit also cites that Paris copied her blonde hair, and the idea of carrying a pet dog.

It gets funnier - Nicolle O'Neill is apparently a fashion stylist.

"Shopping in vintage stores for retro dresses" - woah, never! You mean, other people do that?

Yeah it's all a massive revelation to this so called stylist. Next thing she'll sue the Church, because other people gave God hair.

That is totally out of control, maybe its more of an attempt to fame on the part of Nicole O'Neil - surely no one would take her seriously
