Came across this interview with Paris Hilton in which she apparently slams David and Victoria Beckham for not having earned their fame:

"The media is fawning like they're superstars, but they haven't actually done anything," Hilton said... "We demand that celebrities earn their place amongst our nation's entertainment elite, rather than have it handed to them on a silver platter. The sense of entitlement that Beck and Posh display frankly disgusts me."

I can't work out whether this is a) completely made up b) Paris Hilton being cleverly ironic or c) Paris Hilton being serious. Any ideas?

She is either uproariously funny or hilariously dumb, either way it's win-win for us... the audience.

I think that sounds like a made up statement, the way it is written sounds too professional for her.

Also, apparently she 'earns' 100 million these days -

"The hotel heiress claims she rakes in the enormous sum from a variety of business ventures, including her own hotel chain, perfume range and personalised merchandise, and by charging massive fees for personal appearances.

She said: "I've made $100 million in the last year, while Jennifer Lopez made $75 million.

"I'm developing my own hotels, casinos and clubs and getting into real estate. It's crazy at such a young age. I'm doing so much."

She even pockets money from the slogan "That's Hot!" after trademarking her favourite exclamation.

Paris also collects an estimated $2 million a year from the infamous sex tape, 'One Night In Paris', she made with ex-lover Rick Salomon.

The blonde dropped a lawsuit against him in return for half of the profits made from sales.
