In todays news -

An ad for men's underwear has been slammed as 'too racy' for brisbane, but ok'd for use in other cities.

Is it just me, or is Brisbane totally behind the times in terms of how prudish our 'leaders' are?

What are your thoughts of the ad? (have you seen it in other cities yet?) do you think it's any different to women's lingerie ads?

Can't say I've seen the ads? Which label are they for?

i can see a lovely little white box with a red x.
but maybe thats because i am in qld :P

having said that- i saw a picture today in a LINEN store of all places, of the back of a naked guy (with a yummmy bum) dripping wet holding a towel (infront of him- you could see his whole back).... was a little bit risque for the place it was but i t hink every woman who walked past had a little giggle :P

Ruru - that would be the pic for Sheridan. It's been here in Melbourne for awhile. Guess the shock value worked considering I still remembered the image...I've probably been scarred by it.

Since when is anything racy for QLD??? Have you been to the Gold Coast lately? I wouldn't call it artistically racy...just sleazy and trashy that would put that ad to shame.

Agreed, I don't see anything particularly racy about that photo.

I saw that in the newspaper that the ad is too racy, but I don't think so. We see things like men in underwear in Target and K-mart catalogues and all that, so it's nothing that QLD haven't already seen. But maybe for young kids they might find it racy, but then they can always go where the ad is not right in their face
