Pierce Brosnan and Julia Stegner for Aquascutum

Last Updated: 26.07.2006 at 07.48
He might have handed in his licence to kill, but former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan still looks the part of a debonair secret agent. And that's how you'll most likely see him as he teams up with German model Julia Stegner as the new face of the British heritage brand, Aquascutum.

To become the face of Aquascutum's Autumn/Winter campaign, Brosnan was selected by Aquascutum's new president and chief executive officer, Kim Winser.

A Bond fan of many years' standing, Winser knew that melding the iconic status of Brosnan with Aquascutum would be a winning combination. And she is equally proud of the smouldering sensuality that photographer Mario Sorrenti brought to the campaign, using historic Somerset House on The Strand as a backdrop, a setting that evokes high intrigue and high style.

Winser happily concedes the photographs are ''very sexy'', light years away from the cosy, Home Counties perception of the brand which an older generation of customers cherish.

Rogue couldn't agree more with Winser's thoughts about the photos. Afterall, why would we argue? Aquascutum ranks as one of our favourite brands, with its near-perfect mix of quality, class, and Britishness.

The last one is the most interesting of the lot I think - awesome shot.

Julia Stegner looks fantastic in these shots. Love the clothes too, particularly the belted trench which looks like a nice take on the classic Aquascutum cut.

love the clothes and the pictures here.

both have a timeless appeal to them, they'd suit an old 1920s setting and every decade since, and imagine they'll last a few more decades to come.
