I have been invited to a Marquee at the eagle farm races next Saturday and although the days are rather warm as soon as the sun sets it is rather freezing. The races dress I have here with me is very summery, (the Eileen Kirby dress featured in my photos but with a matching facinator) and I was planning on saving for the Ekka races which are mid august and generally quite a bit warmer than now being late May.
My problem is that I can not afford to go and buy something new and I am really not sure of the correct 'look' that is winter racing, can someone please please help me asap??? Are boobtubes a no go? Stockings? Gloves? Ahhhh... Spring Carnival is so much easier than this!
Awesome guys, we need to do a super quick makeover on Corrine!!!
That little cap is cute, I have a couple of bowler hats I could wear, or I have a pink or black facinator. I will need to get mum to post my driving gloves up... jacket wise I dont have much unless I wore my actual riding blazer which is navy with gold buttons as I still havent found the right black tux jacket yet... the dress is probably the biggest issue I have right now as I am very limited to what good dresses of mine look nice with tights and trust me - my legs are not being seen uncoverd... well I would prefer anyway!
Ahhhh I am definitly in need of major makeover work! SHIT!!!!!
Definitely a hot look and works with the floral spring-ish dresses as well as the more wintery ones. You could do the dress, wrist gloves and high socks, and a cute coat for the cold...
Tania any ideas of where is doing an afforadble high street version of these dresses at the moment (please dont shoot me but I cant be spending $600 + on a dress at the moment as much as I wish I could...) I found a few lovely ones on net-a-porter but unfortunatly they wont get here in time!
