Renting fashion pieces, instead of buying it outright, has been successful both in Australia and overseas. Now there's a new set up where you can rent some very select pieces for a week or a month at a time.

For just a few dollars a day you can now rent style. That's right. Clever Simonne Santanna has created a fashion revolution with her site, www.lovemeandleaveme.com.au, an online fashion rental store. You can borrow designer shoes, bags and jewellery for a teeny fraction of the cost, then send it back when you're bored of it.

i'm not a fan of this "renting" thing at all. I figure if you can't afford it then save up or get something you can afford. And they are pretty pricey! the amount you are paying (often $100 a week for a handbag) you may aswell save a bit and buy the bag! And i know people are going to say "but you can rent it for 2 weeks and when u get bored send it back and rent soemthing new". But hey its a smart business idea because there are plenty of people who aspire to owning expensive things (hence the popularity of fakes) so respect to the people who set these things up and obviously make a lot of money with them.

i like the sound of it but what if i like it a little too much and I dont want to give ot back i would better off going to buy it myself

the american version bagborrowsteal.com (I think it was the first...??) their stuff is to die for... Given if I had the requisite time and money I'd set one up ASAP.

And Jai - you can usually purchase the item if you do fall in love with it - or atleast you can on the american sites.
