Okay, I've been passionately against shorts on guys for a while now. Yes, they're functional. Yes, I barely took them off when I was in Asia (because of the aforementioned point). But they've just been so un-trendy, boring, and 'bogan' for a while now (IMO).
So (getting to a point here) I came across a few pics today that has renewed my faith in fashion industries ability to design the things!
Yum, tailored long shorts are very hot. All I've been seeing have been the unstructured, baggy kind that are fine during high school but make grown men look like ... well, I suppose as if they'd grown up but their clothes hadn't.

Precisely why I've disliked them for so long!
The first pair are Miu Miu, then Kris van Assche (the bottom tie on these is brilliant!), then Marc by Marc, Kris van Assche again, YSL, Louis Vuitton, and then finally Paul Smith.
Yeah, I think they really stand out. Hopefully I'll be able to find a pair!! I'm hoping to find them in London, but the van Assche doesn't detail stockists (annoyingly). I guess the most safe option might be Harrods.
The only photo I could see myself in is #5 - the other ones seem a bit out there for me. I guess it has to do with your surroundings and I'm surrounded by some amazing lakes.
In this neck of the woods if the suns out you're ass should be on the water, therefore you spend most of the summer in loose boating shorts or even board shorts. Tacky? Sure...but does it really matter when you're hopping on wave runners or falling off skis?
