FANCY yourself as a Cavalli babe next winter â for next to nothing? The Italian designer most famous for dressing Gwyneth, Madonna, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez is next up to design a one-off collection for H&M â following sell-out-in-seconds collections from Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Viktor & Rolf. "Roberto Cavalli has created a world of his own, iconic and full of fantasy, when it comes to colours, prints, and style," says H&M creative director, Margareta van der Bosch. "There is no place for shyness and no possibility of ending up with a mainstream wardrobe of everyday basics. The Roberto Cavalli collections represent an exuberant, successful lifestyle." Cavalli, whose collections include Just Cavalli for his younger fans, the Class Cavalli diffusion line and the Angels and Devils childrenswear line, will create 20 menswear pieces and 25 womenswear pieces as well as lingerie and accessories that will be unveiled in 200 H&M stores worldwide on November 8. "As the first Italian designer in the history of H&M, I enthusiastically welcomed this invitation," he said this morning. "Proud to bring the lively and positive spirit of my work to a new audience, who will be able to see and interpret my style in an individual way. I love freedom and challenges: breaking down barriers, experimenting in different directions. H&M is all this for me. I will add a dash of festivity and dreams." (June 20 2007, AM)

&M will welcome another collection from the land of high dollar couture. Roberto Cavalli will be unleashing his affordable line for the retailer this November. The ads are currently keeping eyes peeled as billboards and ads are due to spring up in the near future. Why? Page Six delves into the background of the ads.

"Billboards and ads shot by controversial photographer Terry Richardson - who not only gets his models nude, but disrobes himself. His open-minded subjects, who'll be shot in Florence, include Jessica Stam, Erin Wasson, Lydia Hearst, Theodora Richards, brother/sister duo Devon, Steve Aoki and Cavalli himself."

The line, entitled "Decadence," will hit 200 stores November 8th. It will feature 20 pieces of menswear, 25 pieces of women swear and lingerie with matching accessories. What really has my interest is how anyone could pose in front of a naked man with a camera. Imagine standing next to Roberto and Terry has his bits hanging out. I would have to say "Excuse me, but could you put the mouse back in his house....it's Cavalli for God's sake."

NO WAY! That is SO EXCITING! I have loved h&m over the years for clothes. I have had some amazing outfits that consisted of clothing from h&m and then pieces from labels such as Prada and Dsquared2. Their underwear is really cute too. Cavalli is one of my all time favorite designers; I can't wait to see his collection for H&M
