Last night was one of the first Rouge-connects parties/events, and luckily enough it was held in Melbourne Australia in one of the hardest clubs to get into boutique. They even say it on their site:
Andy Warhol once said "To meet interesting people you need to be at interesting places..."
Boutique, nestled in the heart of hip historic Greville Street in Prahran, is Melbourne 's interesting place where you meet the interesting people
With it's extremely discerning door policy, Boutique has etched its signature across Melbourne 's nightlife. Boutiques reputation as the club of preference for Melbourne 's best party-goers and visiting international guests is renowned.

Boutique is well known not only for its special events and exclusivity but mainly because of the door policy. Many years ago they adopted a European door system called face control I think it speaks for itself but essentially its very difficult to get in unless you are dressed well, have a good attitude or simply came with an attractive female or some cool friend who knows the door people. Last night was a good example of this when one of the members of rouge was refused entry, but only because the club was packed. Since I arrived early I got to meet some of the Rouges and some of the members who attended and they did seem like interesting place/the in crowd. We had no problem getting in and got complimentary drinks it is a CK event after all!!! I suggested we sit on the couches that surround the dance floor where the performance was held and we got the best seats in the house. Thanks to a few people I met in the club we got to meet the CK models in the VIP area which was really cool. Allan thought one of the models looked familiar and it turned out both Allan and I know her so chances are there will be an influx of CK models. So seriously the night was a big success and the Rouge crowd really stood out, I mean we had people coming up to us just to say goodbye who we didnt even know and it was amusing to see how many people wanted to find out what is it that the rouge guys do and whether they can be a part of it, so well done guys!!!
But what night would be complete without a little adventure? On the way out I wondered off into some door I saw and one of the Rouges said: Vad I think its a toilet, but they were wrong it was another VIP room except in this one we got offered memberships to Boutique (for those of you from Melbourne you know how hard they are to get). Now we got VIP priority cards for Boutique on Saturdays which they call Fashion Saturdays. Again from their site: Fashion Saturday's at Boutique, the Saturday night home to Australia 's leading designers and Melbourne 's fashion industry.
Featuring parades each Saturday, Boutique presents fashion in our own unique style incorporating live performances by some of Australia's leading solo artists and bands.
When creating an atmosphere of style and glamour, dirty disco and funky grooves follow. Saturday's at Boutique is where it happens.

So thanks guys for the awesome night and I hope you guys had as much fun as I did!!!

Sounds great. Will Rogue be holding any more events in Melb, does anyone know?
Be quite cool to meet the people behind the posts and tags!

Me too - a friend's brother manages Eve, so going to check it out in a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, can any member organise something or do the head honchos like to take care of that?
I can probably organise some benefits for a group at Marrakech in a few weeks.

Good to hear other people are going out on school nights *guilt dissipates*! Have you been to Marrakech before? What do you think of it?

I have to admit I haven't been yet, but my friends all say its pretty good, so why not give it a shot.

If I worried about it being a school night or a work night, I dont think I'd ever get any going out done.
