Hello Fashionisers,
Hope the festive season is treating everyone well.
I need some help please!
My friend Lee has decided that he would like to be wed in a safari suit. I think he'd prefer a vintage one. He's of the tall and slender variety of boy. I offered to help him find one but haven't had any luck yet.
Does anyone know where I can find a safari suit in Melbourne? Op shops seem a bit thin on the ground with these, these days.
Is there a shop/suitmaker/something around melbourne where these can be found?
Thanks for your help! The groom will be very pleased if we find something!

That's a bit of a tough one, trying to find anything specific that's vintage is always near impossible (though you find the thing a million times over when you're NOT looking for it!) Maybe he'd need to get one tailored especially.

Thanks for your help Tania! I know, its a tough one.
He's very slack and hadn't actually organised someone to make it for him and now its too late. I know someone who always dresses in very cool suits, the kind I think Lee would go for, I might find out where they come from and steer him in that direction instead... Lee's a DJ, he's a lovely English boy, bit of a lad, loves his good times, you know? He wouldn't want anything traditional. Thanks again!

Ebay UK has some going, or pieces of some (the jacket but no pants etc). Depending on the quality he wants he might try costume stores. I'll ask around, see what I can turn up.
You could also ask elderly people you know, they may have some in storage, you could also post notices as bowls clubs if you're really desperate.

Tania -- don't you have a contact in the vintage clothes industry?

Indeed my other thought was to try some vintage clothes sellers as they might know where to source one, I've sent some contact details to Airdrie :)

Try to search online for safari suit or visit online stores for clothing and accessories.
