SCIENTISTS fear packs of bull sharks are now actively hunting humans for the first time after a series of horrifying attacks in the waters off a popular resort.

The theory emerged after two surfers were killed and one badly injured in a month. A fourth swimmer is missing at the Mexican seaside town, The Sun newspaper reports.

Locals fear one rogue shark is responsible but experts believe a pack of deadly bull sharks are actively targeting humans for the first time.

They think the 3m fish could have developed a taste for human flesh after devouring hundreds of corpses dumped into the sea by mobsters.

Morbid fear of sharks. I'm not keen on mobsters dumping hundreds of bodies in the sea either. Crossing Mexico off my list of places to visit.

This bums me out so much! Don't be scared of sharks! Sharks are not developing a taste for humans! In fact they very rarely attack humans unless provoked. There's over 360 species of sharks and only 4 have ever been involved in unprovoked attacks on humans (great whites, tiger sharks, bull sharks and the oceanic whitetip)
Years after he wrote Jaws, Peter Benchley actively tried to dispel the negative image of sharks that he had created. Sharks are so misunderstood..
