I've been trying to get some work as a model, but I've been noticing nobody wants a model as short as I (5'2).
So, my question is, is there any sort of modeling job I can do considering my height?

I agree with Katina, It is depressing being short.I am 1.6, But then again I will just keep on trying I know I have what It takes except the Height.

Look, short is cute. No one would take you though I mean you have to be drop dead gorgeous for them to take you i was accepted as a model even though i was 5'7 they wanted me to be 5'9 but they liked my look. most girls don't get a chance like that anyways i am sorry to say you are too short to start with.

If you're looking for paid work, fashion isn't going to be your avenue; try glamour, alternative, etc.

Exceptions are made for the exceptional; Kate Moss was discovered when she was 14 at 5'6.5" - the same height she is now - so by the time her agency figured out she wouldn't grow, she was already famous so her height wasn't an issue.

Here's the logic behind it:
- You need tall models for runway work because everyone needs to see the garments from everywhere in the room, even if the models are on a non-elevated runway. The general 5'9"-5'11.5" (with a bit of leeway for the exceptional) also creates a uniform look amongst the models and allows the audience to focus on the clothes rather than the differences between the models.
- the sample garments used in runway shows are usually directly taken to photo shoots and editorials. That means the size of the average fashion print and editorial model has to be within the same acceptable range of a runway model (again, with a little leeway; top agencies very rarely take anyone below 5'7" and they have to be exceptional in every other aspect and generally smaller than the 34-24-34 measurements to maintain the same silhouette as their taller counterparts).

I don't have a problem getting jobs, but i have serious problems trying to get into an agency....it's killing me!

I'm 17...5'9" and am well within the measurements but a more rounded nose then a straight nose (I guess because i'm german)
It photographs straight but yeah....having issues getting into agencies and it's incredabily depressing!
