I really hope the "shoulder pad" trend doesn't pick up because I will have to back out. I think 80s fashion was atrocious. Those poor people with shoulder pads and shiny materials and big-ass hair. Ugh. Please tell me we're not going back to that.

noooo! not good for broad shouldered women. shoulder pads bring too much masculinity. keep them in the 80's.

Ganache, I can't wait to see what you've picked. Shoulders haven't even taken off in Europe yet, at street level, so it's still one for early adopters (and let's face it, it's no fun once the chain stores have done it)! I was going to pop down this week and talk to you about winter. Are you done buying? xx

This has to be my favourite trend of 2009!

Topshop have done a fantastic take on the structured shoulder.
However it is more of a structured look as opposed to shoulderpads.

I do have to agree Balmain and Balenciaga do it best.

Balmain has created my dream jacket... Anyone want to lend me $12,050? :D

I would seriously consider selling my car for that jacket!

Yet i say that about every Balmain piece.
