Just wondering what people thought of the Jen Hunter issue. Apparently she is a very popular size 12 model in the UK, and was the star of the television series Make Me A Supermodel.

She refuses to drop 3 sizes despite her modelling contract getting revoked.

"Jen Hunter won the hearts of the British public in the television series 'Make Me A Supermodel' when she refused to lose weight for the judges even after constant pressure to do so.

Miss Hunter, who is 5ft 11in and weighs 11 stone was shocked by judges, including model Rachel Hunter, who described her as 'fat, lazy and greedy' while competing in the 2006 reality show.

Despite being voted the leading female by the public, Jen was not given a contract by chosen agency Select, who instead booked sub-zero Marianne Berglund - known as the 'walking skeleton'."

having seen some of that show and Jen, the show was a farce. No one in this industry would select Jen and all of the professional judges knew that and said it. The "public" voted but in all honesty these polls are often rigged. Marianne was the one who is a model, the figure and the attitude. The show deliberately put a very slender girl Marianne against a "normal" (but way too large to be a model) girl Jen and payed up Jen's background so no wonder ppl voted for her. Jen is pretty but is considerably oversized for a model with thighs that could not be in any shot. I am not being harsh here I am being realistic- this is a business where long lean sleek smooth models are wanted.

Select are not daft and chose Marianne.

TV companies should stop all of these stupid "select a model shows" that are manipulated and have lagely no bearing on reality.

marianne does look very.. skeletal. but i agree- Jen's a bit chunky.

I think the refusal to comply would have hurt her position in the judges eyes.

nobody wants to work with a bitch, especially one that hasn't earned the right to act like one yet
