So I was on the hunt for a new skincare product and found that my sister had recently replaced her entire collection with this range called Yes To Carrots. Its pretty cool and cheap and smells awesome!

I'm still indecisive about this though. Being in a family of 5 and all, everyone uses a different product and our bathroom is a mess of EVERYTHING ranging from the Chanel to the Sorbolene .. and then there's haircare PLUS all the girls have their own makeup. AND nailpolish. it's mahem.

What skincare products do you use? Do you follow a particular 5step skincare regime or are u like my dad (immerce face in water and partially dry it)? =)

i use clinique 3 step, all about eyes rich eyecream, and Neostrata 15% aha for my pimples (when they are around). its 15% alpha hydroxy acids and makes ur skin soft (recommended by a cosmetic surgeon funnily enough- yes thats 15% acid so it tingles sometimes). and i do both twice a day.

i just bought my bf a clinique guy 3 step and eyecream- he has quite sensitised skin that goes blotchy a lot and he has noticed his skin is softer and a lot "calmer" so i guess he is happy.

how to get rid of blackheads lol- i pick when i get them but if u make sure ur skin is clean most of the time u shudnt get many- having said that, get a pore pack for ur nose and rip them out@

oh i should add something a dermatologist told me while i was a lot younger regarding moisturiser- i had very bad acne and oily skin. Basically, he said skin needs moisture, so you can either go out and get a nice oil free moisturiser that makes it soft and lovely and use that, or you can use nothing but your skin will then produce its own oil to compensate, and oily skin means clogged pores, which means pimples/blackheads/etc.

Know of a good one? I've tried one that I got as a sample and I think its greatest achievement was leaving residue on my nose.

I used to use Clinique's 3-Step Acne Solutions (my chin is prone to breaking out) and it worked really well! I'm now using Murad's Acne Complex kit and it seems to be working fine, so far.

Clinique has great cleansers and other skin care products. Someone mentioned their All About Eyes cream and its definitely a product everyone needs! It works wonders with the little bit of darkness I have on my inner-under eye.

I have oily skin and blackheads (on my nose), too, so don't feel alone. I recently purchased Clinique's Pore Minimizer Refining Lotion and it does a good job at camouflaging my blackheads. Now we just have to wait & see if the lotion will repair them!

There are so many different skin care products out there nowadays, that sometimes it is hard to find the right product for your skin type that will;

. Not permanently damage your skin
. Do the right job you want it to do
. Clean, out the pores
. Not hurt your skin
. Is very gentle to use
. To not get an allergic reaction
. Very delicate to use that will not case early aging

That is why you need to be EXTREMELY careful of what you put onto your face and what product you use for your skin type. To get beautifully, clean skin you need to look after your face just like you look after a plant, if you dont water it (give it nutrients) it dies and becomes wrinkly, old and rusty but if you water it every day (do give it nutrients) it will survive and stay healthy, clean and beautiful! To get beautiful skin you dont just buy a magical cream that will do all the work, you need to look after your skin every single day (just like a plant) Beautiful skin gradually starts to happen if you take very good care of it by;

. Be healthy! Exercising regularly gives you a beautiful healthy glow, and can actually improve the condition of your skin!
. Drink lots of water (8 cups a day) to help your skin to be healthy, and try to eat healthy, too.
. Go to a chemist, supermarket, or beauty shop, and buy make-up removing wipes, cleansing lotion, toner, moisturizer, and facial scrub. Make sure you get them for your skin type, eg. sensitive skin, dry skin.
. Dont wear too much makeup; it will clog your pores and your skin cant breath
. Every single time you expose your self to the sun remember to always wear
Sunscreen to your skin and a chap stick/lip balm with SPF
. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser in the morning when you wake up
. Wash your face before you go to bed at night. Your face has been exposed to polluted air, oils from your hands, and other environmental factors all day. Remember to never go to bed with make-up on.
. Try to consume less than 45g of sugar on a daily basis.
. Do NOT pick at existing pimples. When you pick at or pop a pimple, you are spreading the bacteria from that onto the rest of your face.
. Try to keep your hands off your face as much as possible.
. Always follow up a cleanse with a moisturizer made for your skin type. Especially after exfoliating!
. Use a moisturizing or anti aging facial mask once a week, preferably after exfoliating the skin.
. Make sure you have a cleanser and moisturizer made for your skin type.
. If nothing is improving and is getting much worse, you may have to consult a dermatologist
. Last but not least, get plenty of sleep!

Good luck!

This sounds really weird, but I swear by milk of magnesia! Yes, the laxative.

It'll tighten pores, reduce excessive oil without over drying, help get rid of blackheads, even your skintone, and keep acne at bay.

For only $5.00 US. At any drug store.

After cleansing and toning, apply it to your face and sleep on it. Rinse any excess off the next morning. Make this routine and you'll see results within days.

After a few months of nightly use, I reduced my usage to once a week or so, and over doing anything long term can't be good.
