I discovered Elemis when I went to a Daylesford spa... Its now (finally!) selling in Myer. Elemis is a British brand and I totally love it. A bit pricey, but not over the top!

The Australian elemis website is still empty
My bf and I use mainly this product and love it :)
For blackheads I actually use 100% Witchhazel tonic! You can buy it even at Safeway/Coles. Another product I bought 1 week ago for pores is the pore tightening serum based on seaweed from The Body shop - see how that goes.
I used to have pretty bad skin. Not acne, but always sort of unclean and red-ish with some pimples and stuff like that. I have been using some rather cheap combination for the last few months and today people are actually complimenting me on my skin.
I use:
- Garnier Pure 3 in 1 (wash gel, peeling, mask) to wash and peel.
- Garnier Pure purifying facial tonic in the morning and the evening
- Garnier PureA Intensive night treatment gel
To moisturize my face after shaving I actually use after sun lotion these days, which works well. Since I tend to have rather greasy skin I do not use a lot of extra moisturizing though, which equals itself out quite well
Maybe try that out...
What helps overall is not to touch your face a whole lot throughout the day...
Biore makes really great pore strips and as for skin regime, I use Ambi products and my skin is awesome. I have read that when you use certain products for too long, your skin becomes resitant to them and they no longer work so I guess you have to change every 6 months or so

and how the hell do you get rid of blackheads? am I doomed. =/
I suggest you go to your dermatologist to have those blackheads removed.
You can remove it on your own but you are at risk of infections and you do not want that, do you?
Any soap or face wash with lemongrass & seaweed is fantastic for purifying skin & rejuvenating your complexion. Use olive oil or emu oil to moisturuize at night. For exfoliating your skin, lather face cleanser on your fingertips then mix a tiny bit of baking soda on your lathered fingertips & gently scrub face 3 x's weekly. Your face will be smooth & look healthier. Apple cider vinegar is wonderful for drying pimples & is a great astringent / toner.
Expensive face cleansers & moisturizers are a waste of money. Almost everything you need for excellent skin care is in your kitchen. To cleanse your complexion from the inside reduce your sugar & salt intake. Try avoiding soda, alcohol, fruit juice, candy & snack chips for one month & see the beautiful difference in your skin. Drink 2 quarts (8 glassses) of spring water daily for a luminous visage.
