So who made the mad rush and bought some Stella McCartney for Target? Did anyone who want it miss out?

Stella McCartney for Target has been, unsurprisingly, a complete success. Question to our Australian readers - did you buy any, or did you miss out?

The earliest indications are that all stock, except for in South Australia where it goes on sale tomorrow, has already sold out. Stores across the nation expressed unprecedented demand, with the Chadstone Target reporting a queue of 400 people waiting to get into the store in an attempt to snap up pieces of the range.

The most popular items from the range included the trench-coat, the knee-length pea coat, and the olive-green silk dress. Only 6,000 pieces were available Australia-wide.

Surprisingly though, nothing of the range is yet to reach hit eBay yet.

If you're after more photos from the range check out Fashionising's coverage of the Stella McCartney fashion parade that was a part of the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

I must confess to having snapped up a few items - and I have to say, they may not be the most out there or interesting but I really like the fabrics and cuts.

I'm personally surprised by the fabrics - cashmere and satin blends at Target?

I've no idea how Target is there, but ours always has cashmere, silk and other nice natural fabrics available...of course we get a new capsule collection every few months...right now we've got Proenz Schouler, my personal favourite. Unfortunately we never get the men's capsule collections in the south east.

Men's capsule collections? And I thought we were missing out quality wise, but we're completely missing out.

Target Australia is generally horrible material and horrible cuts, particularly in the men's. I can't remember the last time I shopped there prior to the Stella range. Over the past few years they've tried to improve, but this has only really been reflected in the women's. Men's clothing there is still full of horrible cuts, cheap fabrics, and very daggy clothing attempting to pass itself off as 'street'.

i went to buy some stuff yesterday- brisbane stores still have stock and quite frankly- i was dissappointed! I really wanted a jacket or trench but the sizes seemed much too big. And I have to agree with Tania, the designs were not really all that interesting.

Yeah the sizing is large, but that's typical of all that Stella does. There are a few plain designs, but on the whole I'm impressed :)

I could have modelled that range at Westfeild last Sat before anyone got to wear it, but alas- I was to young!
SOOOOOO SAD-SAD-SAD (that was me, very sad indeed)

On the upside, stella also has a range with adidas, you can grab (I SWEAR) the hottest pair of yoga shoes ever for only $220.00 (I miss out on that too because they don't do half sizes)
And!! The most stylish 3/4 sleeve hoody I have ever laid eyes on.. (just wait until pay day, I'll be there with bells on!)

Her designs are so practicle *sigh* ^-^
