i think it was about $60 AUD or slightly less than that. Most of the backstage pics i've taken were using that. Just a single 580EX or SB800 (depending on which camera) held off camera and diffused with the s/box.

Ipaid $70 for mine, I like it but to be honest it can make for lighting that is a bit to flat, needs to be held off to the side

I tried the Lumiquest Softbox and found it not soft enough for me... I love the lightsphere's, I've got the entire set though, with all the new crome domes and amber domes..

I picked up a 430ex today. never had a speedlight before. any good online tutorials out there.
fyi..... i own alienbees strobes.

I use a 430EX with in TTL with a softbox works pretty good.

How are the AlienBees, I've read a lot about them but haven't gotten any because of the 110v power requirements. The Standalone ringflash looks great, tempted to get that even with the power issues.
