Spring Racing - Styles?

It's obvious from all the parades going on that dresses are really the thing for Spring / Summer. (One might wonder when dresses were ever not the thing, but this time around we are certainly seeing less of the casual denim minis and singlets and more of the dress for every occasion possible.)
Who's going to the Spring Racing Carnival, and what's your take on dressing for it in light of the Spring / Summer trends? :)

I haven't booked anything in yet, but I'm certainly hoping to get there (I won't be wearing a dress).

Any Rogues planning to go, which events are you going to?

haha, everyone laugh at the little country girl! ;p i'm going to the bendigo cup.... i'm thinking about this gorgeous green bracewell dress, or this nice marnie skillings dress! SOOO many to choose from! I think in past there has been a lot of girls competing with each other for the lowest plunging neckline or shortest dress, so i'm glad to see that the designers are bringing out a lot more dresses this year that are delicate, sophisticated and nearly impossible to look anything less then a lady. The races shouldn't be about getting drunk and acting like a ...... shall we say, acting NOT like a lady! Anywho, heres my 2 dresses i'm thinking about:

Ooh I have my dress and fascinator all ready.
It's all pink. Need a nice pair of closed toed heels though...

I will be showing up on Oaks day if my exam timetable pans out okay, otherwise I will be going on Cup day. Am determined to make it to the races this year after my evil exam schedule of last year.

You've got the legs for that second one Jules! It would look nice with a belt around the tie-up bit. I adore the Bracewell one - very garden party-ish and lovely shape to it!
